| The market is like a battlefield today
and competition is war. Under such a scenario it becomes imperative
for enterprises to strategize their moves, seek to achieve
a comparative advantage and enhance the excellence of their
strategic human capital. The spillover of liberalization and
globalization has been observed in every sector of the economy,
consequently having a cascading effect on each and every activity
in an organization - be it marketing, finance, or human resource.
Newer paradigms evolving in corporate and industrial world
would result in increased need for efficient solution providers
with coherent perspectives, updated knowledge and technologies.
The world today thus needs leaders and managers, who are
willing to continuously learn, unlearn and change, who are
skillful to recognize opportunities and act, and who are capable
of working together and with people.
MIB, at the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics,
is aimed at developing such leaders with knowledge and skills
essential in building a sound organizational structure, and
who can challenge and revel in today’s fiercely competitive
global business environment. As part of the University of
Delhi, the Dept of Commerce is known for its academic excellence,
quality research and industry interface. The stress here is
on value creation with emphasis on rigorous academic schedule,
practical corporate experience, and the diverse educational,
professional and cultural backgrounds of students.
With the widening of the horizons and the death of distances
today, it is only but imperative that the students of today
take on such emerging challenges.
Thus the concepts, theories and an understanding of International
Business complexities
are taught through various case studies, presentations, role
plays, guest lectures and conferences to attune the students
to the present and future business requirements. Also, course
is constantly updated with invaluable industry inputs to respected
professionals so that the students are taught today, what
they have to practice tomorrow. It is designed to impart pertinent
knowledge about various relevant field of business.
We hope, that with such a prestigious academic pedigree of
DSE, the skills that have been inculcated in the students
will prove to be invaluable to any and every organization
that they may join in future.
