Empowerment at MIB is a way of life. The students’ councils are the driving force behind the institute. Be it Alumni Interaction, Guest Lectures, Conventions, Seminars, Specialty Subjects, Website Maintenance, Placements and even fund management through a Treasurer, it is the students of MIB who take upon he initiative to propel the institute to greater heights.

The students of the MIB take upon themselves the task of assisting in the management of the course and coordination of the various activities that are an inseparable part of any quality management program. The students divide themselves into various work groups or 'clubs' in order to efficiently manage all the activities, at the same time getting a hands-on experience of working within a formal framework.

The various student councils are part of the IBF. The IBF, or the International Business Forum, is the umbrella body under which these various committees work. This multi-dimensional student body of MIB ensures a common platform for the students to communicate with the industry and enhance their professional skills.

The purpose of IBF is to create a formal framework under the aegis of which all the other committees can co-ordinate their events and activities. Since every student is part of IBF, this body helps in organizing and promoting the discussion of crucial decisions pertaining to the functioning of various committees. It also provides a platform for brainstorming over the various events that the students propose to have each year for the constant betterment of MIB.

The IBF consists of 8 management clubs and three educational forums. The management cubs include the Convention Committee, the Alumni Committee, the Catalyst (the ECA club), the Media and Magazine Cell, the Systems Cell, CLIC (Corporate- Learners’ Interaction Club), the Placement Cell, and the upcoming Akshay-Patra, the social wing at MIB. The three educational forums have been christened Quanti-Fi (the Finance Club), Arena (the Marketing Society) and Quiz-bul-mujahiddeen (the Quizzing Society).

Thus, the diversity of options inside the classrooms is mirrored by the spectrum of opportunities outside it. Student’s direct involvement in every facet of MIB life, thus dealing with life size projects, injects great amount of confidence, professionalism and a sense of belonging that keeps the MIB family growing year after year.
