The placement process at MIB has been structured keeping in mind the recruitment procedure and requirements of the Corporates. It’s an inclusive process where the faculty, the placement advisor, the placement committee, and the potential recruiters synergize their activities for a common purpose - a mutually beneficial recruitment process which satisfies the recruiters and realizes the aspirations of the students.

The placement process starts off with presentations before the Corporates. It’s followed by placement talks by the potential recruiters with the students wherein they mention the work profile, salary and terms of recruitment. The interested candidates then submit their resumes on the basis of which the company starts off with its recruitment process.

The whole process starts in August/September and stretches till January/February depending on the final and summer placements.
 
Final Placements

The final placements at MIB have through the years reflected the growing participation of leading Corporates and organizations. We have had 100% placement record for the last 5 years and it reflects the continuous faith that the industry has in the quality of the students of MIB. The placements have seen a healthy combination of all the major sectors of industry - banks/financial institutions, research & consultancy, IT, FMCG, consumer durables, logistics, etc.

Summer Internships


The summer internships are an indispensable learning experience for any good B-school graduate. It provides an opportunity for the students to apply the conceptual and technical skills that they acquired in the first two academic semesters in actual organizational framework. And having acquired invaluable internship experience, the students become better aware of industry work practices which better prepares them in applying themselves in a more professional and analytical manner in the remaining academic semesters.

Apart from broadening of the learning horizon through summer training, the students also acquire a better understanding of the particular sector and company in which he/she worked in. This adds value not only to the student in question, but through discussions and interaction with other students, helps in developing a strong knowledge base with the other students.

Summer internships thus provide opportunity for the students to apply themselves in a creative & innovative way and in developing a strong problem solving approach. The learning it imparts also helps the student to decide upon his/her field of competence.
